Students will spend 42 weeks in total within two types of clinical setting,the Veterinary Hospital at Langford,during which they will undertake their "clinical rotations" and a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) approved Training Practice.
During Clinical Rotations students will rotate through key clinical areas relevant to their degree pathway.
During this unit students are required to complete a record of their clinical competence in the form of the RCVS Nursing Progress Log (NPL) This log is subject to verification by university staff at intervals throughout the 3rd year of the programme.
Students will be required to attend 2 study weeks and a series of study days throughout the academic year.

Students must pass the following assessments:
Critical review of Journal Articles (50% unit weighting)
Case report (50% unit weighting)
Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) (Must Pass)
All units must be passed in order to progress to the next year of study. There will be an opportunity to resit OSCE examinations during the resit period.
Please note that practical and technical skills will also be assessed via the RCVS Nursing Progress Log.
By the end of year 3, students are expected to have completed their clinical placement hours in addition to the completion of their NPL.
