Design exercises will be used to introduce relevant methods and tools that will enable the student to exercise and consolidate aerospace engineering in the context of selected vehicles. Delivery of the course material will also develop presentation and management skills.

A series of seminars and lectures (24) will be held over the course of the unit, with tutorial sessions for problem solving as required.
An individual's mark has two components: one owing to the efforts of the group as a whole which is marked through a presentation (25%) and a single report covering both exercises (50%) – and the individual effort which is assessed through a multiple choice exam (25%). The group report will also be subject to peer weighting.
