This is a mandatory 20 cp unit which is part of a 180 cp MRes in Advanced Composites. It will introduce the concept of smart materials, theirs properties, modelling and practical applications. It will introduce the fundamental aspects of nanomaterials in terms of materials properties, characterisation, processing, modelling and engineering applications.
