Find a computer
Data in Find a computer is live, it will show that a computer has become available moments after someone logs out. However, the computer which appeared to be free when you checked might be taken by someone else by the time you've walked 5 minutes to the building. Alternatively more might now be available, as people have left.
Opening hours are currently not shown in Find a computer, all computers in a room will appear free if a building is closed. Clicking on building names will give you opening times (and other info), for libraries. Otherwise please ask local staff for opening times.
Your location is requested, in order to show the nearest free computers to you. This data is not used for any other purpose.
Buildings can be ordered alphabetically or by proximity to your location. The map will centre on you, if you have allowed location to be shared.
Colours on the list are indicative of how busy computers are in a room, where green is fairly empty, red is fairly full and amber is somewhere in the middle. Check the number for more clarity.
Rooms included in Find a computer include libraries, study centres and faculty or school facilities. Please check the information on each room, as some rooms are only accessible to specific groups of students or require special access.
