Areas of expertise My private interest is in general neurology and in particular headaches. I attend the American Academy Neurology meeting on an annual basis to keep updated. I also provide a medical legal service in neurology.
At Frenchay hospital I run both general neurology and multiple sclerosis clinics. I have established the new rapid access MS relapse clinic for patients with MS and secured funding for an additional MS nurse and secretary and have received both ethical approval and financial backing to commence a neurophysiological study in primary progressive MS.
I have regular teaching commitments to both the 3rd and 5th year medical students.

I have also been instrumental in starting a MS charity, BrAMS (Bristol and Avon Multiple Scelrosis) to provide a specialist MS centre at Frenchay to improve patient care and increase clinical trial activity in MS at Frenchay.
