Dr Sarah Childs of the Department of Politics is involved in a week-long series of programmes celebrating the 60th anniversary of Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour.

Dr Sarah Childs of the Department of Politics is involved in a series of programmes, airing the week of 2-6 October, celebrating the 60th anniversary of Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour. Along with Dr Rosie Campbell (Birkbeck College), she attended a recording of Woman’s Hour in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen in June. The Queen officially reopened the newly refurbished BBC headquarters in central London before taking a tour of the recording studios.

The Woman’s Hour anniversary programmes draw on specially commissioned survey research and discuss the changing nature of British women’s lives, exploring in particular women’s experiences of education and domestic and paid work, childcare and personal and sexual relationships.

You can listen again to archived audio of the programmes at the Woman's Hour website.
