Widespread coverage for research on prehistoric cricket's song

Research by Dr Fernando Montealegre-Z in the School of Biological Sciences which recreated the song of a 165 million-year-old cricket received widespread media coverage around the world.
Dr Montealegre-Z was interviewed by a number of broadcast media including BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, Radio Nacional, Colombia, RTVE Spain, Nationwide German Public Radio (Deutschlandfunk), Voice of America's Science and Asahi TV, Japan.
The research, published in PNAS, was carried out in collaboration with colleagues from China and the US.
