Events for mature students

We offer a range of events for prospective mature students, where you can find out more about studying at The University of Bristol.

Regional taster days

The University of Bristol is coming to a city near you. If you’ve ever thought about studying for a degree, but weren’t sure whether university was for you, then our regional information sessions will help answer your questions. You'll have the opportunity to find out how to gain the qualifications needed for higher education and how the application process works, as well as hearing more about student support for mature students at the University of Bristol. The Mature Student Recruitment Officer will be available to answer individual questions about returning to study.

Undergraduate open days

Our next 2018 undergraduate open day takes place on 8 September. Booking opens on 25 July for the September open day.

Our undergraduate open days are a good way to find out more about our degree courses and explore the campus.

You will be able to meet admissions tutors, view a selection of student residences, talk to academics and meet current mature students.

Information talk
Our information talk Returning to education as a mature student will focus on the support and funding available. You can book onto the talk when you register for the open day.

Information sessions

Our information sessions feature a short talk by a university Recruitment Officer and current students will share their experiences of studying at Bristol. There will also be an opportunity to tour University facilities. The sessions are held during term time, so it will not be possible to speak to admissions tutors or visit specific departments. Details of forthcoming events will appear when dates are confirmed.
