Applications for the ambassador role for 2023/24 are now closed and will re-open Autumn 2024.
We are looking for approachable and enthusiastic postgraduate students to work as paid ambassadors to deliver recruitment events on campus, online, and across the UK. This is fun, flexible work and you will be able to choose your hours to fit around your university schedule.
If you apply to be a postgraduate ambassador, you will also have the opportunity to apply to be a student mentor to current undergraduate students. Please see MyCareer for more information.
What will you be doing?
You will be working alongside the Postgraduate Recruitment team to help deliver a range of online and in-person events. This can include:
- Acting as a tour guide for prospective postgraduate students;
- Leading structured discussions with prospective students;
- Interacting with prospective students on webinars, Zoom chats, and face-to-face events to provide expertise on your school or department, postgraduate study and student life;
- Helping to set up and providing logistical support during the Postgraduate Open Day;
- Contributing to marketing and social media content, such as the Offer Holder Facebook Group;

Opportunity to mentor undergraduate students;
- Opportunity to travel to and work on recruitment fairs.
You should apply if:
- You are going to be a postgraduate student at the University of Bristol in 2023/24;
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- You are able to talk about life at the University and share your own experiences of postgraduate study;
- You have excellent time management and organisational skills, and you are reliable and punctual;
- You are able to work both in a team and independently;
- You have a positive and enthusiastic attitude;
- You are looking for rewarding, flexible work that you can fit around your studies.
