Areas of expertise |
Multi-phase solids have long been a research interest of mine. I have studied their evolution (in superalloys), equilibrium microstructures (in martensites) and the interaction of microstructure with damage.
Another area in which I have diverse interests is biomechanics, broadly understood. This includes the mechanics of plant structures, and of viruses but particularly biological growth both at the cellular and tissue level.
