Mobile Lab

The Mobile Laboratory was purchased with the help of SRIF funding so that the group can carry out atmospheric monitoring at remote locations. Such locations can vary from Northern Norway to Eastern or Southern Europe. The laboratory is based on a standard sea-container and was constructed for the group by TechSafe systems of Great Yarmouth. Internally the lab is split into two "rooms" both of which are climate controlled: a small "sevices" area which houses certain permanent equipment - such as a compressor, zero-air generator and hydrogen generator, and any gas cylinders that may required and a larger room that has benching to accommodate up to three gas chromatographs, computing and data collection facilities, and a backup power supply (UPS).
