Applied Microeconomics
The Applied Microeconomics research group draws on expertise in field experiments and in the development and analysis of large-scale microdata to address questions of real-world policy relevance.
Our empirical research is informed by economic theory, but is also interdisciplinary, drawing on connections with medical sciences, psychology, geography and beyond to deepen our understanding of phenomena that cannot be explained solely in terms of economics, and to study effects of economic events on other outcomes, and vice versa. Group members are also affiliated with the Centre for Evidence-based Public Services.
