    Abstract

    This chapter seeks to detail the scholarly and intellectual threads identified by members of the action research community, and to point to further reading for those interested in pursuing these. It shows some of the ways in which the thoughtful integration of various theoretical perspectives and life experiences gives rise to well-developed personal paradigms which both shape and explain action researchers' being and acting in the world.
