Part description

Richard makes direct reference to the videographer during his performance. In his own words he is colluding with the audience by acknowledging the process of documentation as present within their experience of the work. Richard refers to this acknowledgement as a deliberate device. He describes the documentation process at the National Review of Live Art as 'clunky', with little time for discussion the process before hand.

Richard sees his drawing upon the process during a performance as a way of 'owning' it. Richard also sees much of the video work used throughout the performance as 'camera aware', which adds to this thematic.
